This is the end of season celebration for the Super Serpents.  We will have a SUPER breakfast banquet for our Super Serpents immediately following the Lollipop Meet.  And we will have paper plate awards!!!   Please RSVP so we know how many to expect.  

**July 16 is also the last day of the Super Serpent season.**

Overview: Swimathon is an annual swim team event that allows our C-serpents to give back to their community by raising money for a specific charity. This year, we will be raising money for Educate Fairfax, the non-profit fundraising arm of FCPS. Specifically, we are raising money to help fund Bailey's Elementary (a Title 1 school) so that it can help purchase school supplies for some of its needier families. 

When: Thursday, July 10th during your swimmer's normal practice time. 

Participation and fundraising: Participating in Swimathon is simple! This year you will not have to make an individual campaign - all C-serpents will use the link below to raise money. Please let your supporters know that they should write the name of the specific swimmer or swim family they are supporting in the donor note. Link: https://educatefairfax.app.neoncrm.com/forms/c-serpent-swim-a-thon-1 Swimmers will earn a set number of door prize tickets just for participating and will earn extra tickets based on the amount of money they raise. There will be prizes that the swimmers can bid on using their tickets. 

Swimathon event: Swimathon will happen during your child's normal practice time on Thursday, July 10th. We will have a hot breakfast (think pancakes/bacon/eggs, etc.) as well as door prizes and lots of fun swimming/relays. 

Help needed: I would LOVE to have a few volunteers help me coordinate on the day of - hot food + door prizes + swimmer excitement = more adults needed! Also, if anyone has prizes to donate (unused toys/stuffed animals, unopened bags of candy) or bins/baskets to display the prizes please let me know. Uncle Sam wants YOU to come on over to the pool for a patriotic celebration of the red, white, & blue! The night promises to provide liberty, justice, and potluck for all! Team cheers and festive fun will be the perfect way to kick off the 4th of July holiday.

**The Horne Family has generously offered their creative skills for a t-shirt making activity again this year.  They will design a unique design and help swimmers screen their own t-shirt!  You do NOT want to miss this event!  Swimmers need to bring a plain t-shirt to the event -- t-shirts will not be provided.
