A Meet Saturday, Declare your swimmer
Welcome everyone! Whether you are a returning C-Serpent, or a new addition, we are glad you’re joining us for the fastest and most fun 2 months of the year!
Our goals are simple:
- To develop a love for swimming and learn competitive swim techniques
- To demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork and team spirit – what we call “Serpent Pride”
- To enjoy summer swim team with good friends
- To have fun!!!
Along with swimmers, our coaches, officials, and parents are expected to set a high standard of sportsmanship for our competitors. It’s going to be a fun and exciting season at Canterbury Woods! Serpent Pride!
Swimmers must have a paid Canterbury Woods Pool membership. This is an NVSL rule and cannot be disputed.
Every swimmer must have a paid swim team registration, pool signed waiver, and NVSL waiver before he or she can swim (even practice!).
A swimmer must be 6 years old and able to swim a length of the pool to join the swim team in addition they must be able to keep up with the practice. It doesn’t have to be fast, just safe. We’ll help swimmers improve. If your child is 7 years old or younger, he/she must be assessed by the coaches before joining the swim team. We offer our Super Serpent team for the younger swimmers who are not ready for a full team practice. (See the Super Serpent section).
Got a Question?
The team reps are always available to answer any questions. The coaches will also answer questions, but we ask that you wait to speak to them after all daily practices are over to allow them the full attention of the swimmers.
Any feedback or questions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
